Joey McCollum on the Coherence-Based Genealogical Method (CBGM)

The Greek Paul Project recently invited Joey McCollum to share what he has learned about the Coherence-Based Genealogical Method (CBGM) by implementing the method through reverse engineering. The CBGM is a software tool developed by Gerd Mink at the Institut für Neutestamentliche Textforschung (INTF) in Münster and to date has been utilized in the production of the Editio Critica Maior (ECM) volumes of the Catholic Epistles, Acts, and the Gospel of Mark. As each of the teams working on ECM volumes completes the work, the results are propagated downstream into the Nestle-Aland editions of the Greek New Testament. The 28th edition incorporated the ECM data for the Catholic Epistles.
